About Us

where nature & luxury meet

Overlooking the National Trust listed Trawool Valley, The Trawool Estate is an iconic property where people come together, celebrate and create memorable experiences among nature.
Acquired in 2019 by a local family passionate about breathing new life into this historic building, every space has undergone significant beautification.

The Hotel features 20 luxury hotel rooms and for those after family or shared accommodation, we have 7 two-room spaces (Valley Rooms) available with uninterrupted views of the Trawool landscape. Click here to view.

Set within a beautifully restored historic property dating back to the 1870s, The Trawool Estate offers a unique setting for weddings, conferences, private celebrations, gala dinners, milestone occasions and special events. From intimate gatherings to larger celebrations, every event is shaped by the character of the property and the spectacular Trawool landscape.

Wild Water hosts multiple private dining spaces for smaller events, soaking up the scenery, including an open fireplace and the amazing Dome Room.

Turbine restaurant (winning the Best Regional Hotel Restaurant Vic 2022) is an amazing style cocktail bar set in a dark and lively space downstairs. Perfect for private events and After Parties at The Trawool Estate.

Granite Bar is our award-winning hotel bar space ideal for a more casual affair, where catching up with friends, full car service in front of the open fireplace and with direct access to outside dining is on the cards. “We’ve kept many of the original features and all the charm of this 1870’s watering hole.” We’ve also carefully curated the wine list, which features drops from the local vineyards and across Australia and the World. Awarded Best Regional Hotel Bar 2023 we know you’ll love Granite.

Herb Garden Pizzeria is relaxed, outdoor family-friendly dining. With uninterrupted views of the Trawool Valley and the soundtrack of your summer playing in the background, it’s a fabulous place to enjoy catching up with friends and family.

Voted Best Hotel Wedding Venue Vic 2022, The Trawool Estate is the ideal place for you to say "I do"
The Terrace, our post popular ceremony location, is set across the road from the main building, nestled into the Warrigul Rocks bush surround. The tiered amphitheatre-style space with Astroturf for all-weather weddings and events, makes for a magical and unique place.

Trawool is intent on supporting their community, so menus will highlight the very best of produce and wine sourced from the surrounding areas. Families will love the expansive grounds to roam - with a solar heated outdoor pool, squash court, tennis and multipurpose courts and expansive grounds for kids to explore.
