Proudly named after the translation of the local Taungurung people’s word Traawool, meaning Wild Water. The lively & elevated dining room welcomes family and friends with beautiful food and a breathtaking view.

Our new all-day menu by Chef Sam Wills features modern Australian cuisine with a Mediterranean twist and is available from 11.30am until the evening to ensure, no matter the time you arrive at Trawool, we’ll have something delicious to offer you from our stunning location using local relationships in the Goulburn Valley.
Our ever-increasing wine list features local vineyards to international delights, and a cocktail menu to keep you saying, ‘one more please’.

The Wild Water menu changes regularly.  This allows us to embrace the produce and flavours of each season.  It also gives us an opportunity to diversify our menu offering with our regulars enjoying new and bold tastes throughout the year.

Dietaries are always considered in the creation of every menu.  Any questions, please reach out and ask.

Emma and Riley were married in 2023 at The Trawool Estate in regional Victoria. Set in the stunning National Trust listed Goulburn Valley ranges, Trawool is a destination wedding venue that feels more secluded than its 1.5hr distance from Melbourne's CBD.

We came third in the category for Hotel Wedding Venue 98.48% just missing out to RACV & Crown! And we were finalists in the following three addtional categories; Ceremony Venue 96.69% Wedding Accommodation 98.72% Wedding Coordinator 95.90%

On 28th September 2022 The Trawool Estate attended the Victorian ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Awards) and won Best Hotel Wedding Venue with a score of 99.84%

We came runner up in Victoria for First Night Honeymoon with 98.54%, 99.08% for Function Coordinator & 98.72% for Best Ceremony Venue.

In September 2023, we came Second for Hotel Reception Venue 99.13% and Third for 1st Night Honeymoon with a score of 99.44%. We were also finalists in Ceremony Venue  98.34% and Function Coordinator 97.71%.

With our flexible meeting spaces and modern equipment, The Trawool Estate can enhance your meeting, retreat, workshop, or anything in between. Only an hour from Melbourne by car or train, and affordable accommodation options if you have a few things to get through, we make getting out of the office look good.

It is possible to book the Estate for a half day, or on our ‘closed’ days, depending on availability.
Located in the North Central region of Victoria, on the Victorian Rail Trail and moments from some amazing walks and lookouts, those break-out activities are all part of the service and fully customisable. Oh, and don’t forget your tennis and basketball gear for bragging rights around the water cooler!

The award-winning Trawool Estate is your place to unwind… and just breathe.

Set in the pristine Goulburn Valley Ranges, with three restaurants at the hotel (including the Best Regional Hotel Restaurant in Victoria 2022, Turbine and Best Hotel Bar in Granite Bar), you will find that balance between modern luxury and bush surrounds. We have 20 luxurious hotel rooms including our two-room grand suite The Traawool Room, for you to stay in. Alternatively, we have seven refreshed motel-style Valley Rooms that offer more space for families and provide breathtaking and uncompromising views across the Trawool Valley. Ask us about cots and roll-out beds for little ones when you book.
You can book your room to include complimentary breakfast with your stay. Extra guests and children can also dine: Adults $29, Under 12’s $15.

Enjoy a walk or bring your bikes to explore the Great Victorian Rail Trail which runs alongside the property, dip in the solar heated pool, or borrow our racquets and balls to play a game on our multi-sports court (tennis, basketball, squash, volleyball or netball).
